This month, cosmetic companies continue to amaze with non-standard solutions in the production and packaging of their products. In our last article, we wrote about the transition of P&G to the production of solid shampoos along the lines of the main brands. Next we are pleased with the French company Pierre Fabre, by order of which Eco-pack was developed for packaging of toothpaste.

A non-standard solution was proposed to the customer by Arcade Beauty Retail, which developed this fully recyclable Mono-material Eco-pack. The pouches have a screw cap similar to traditional tubes and hold 100 ml of content.

Why are there such innovations? The problem is that most toothpaste tubes are made of plastic and aluminum and are very problematic to recycle. We previously wrote about the innovation of Colgate, which released recyclable toothpaste tubes and tried to inform its customers about this with a bold design. Now, another company is willing to ditch traditional tubes altogether for a more environmentally friendly solution.

The use of the new Eco-pack will allow Pierre Fabre to save up to 48% annually on plastic and eliminate the use of aluminum. We assume that such savings figures, combined with a clear environmental effect, will be of interest to other companies producing similar products in tubes.

We would also like to note that the shape of the new Eco-pack strikingly reminds us of Doypack. Which gives grounds to assume the possibility of packaging in these bags on standard equipment for packaging in doy-packs. However, this issue should still be clarified with the package manufacturer.
