The world famous Japanese company Toyobo Co., Ltd., one of the activities of which is the production of films for food packing, has developed a new biaxially oriented polypropylene film, which has high gas tightness and can replace multilayer packing.

The biggest problem with multilayer packing is the complexity of its processing. It was to solve this problem that Toyobo specialists developed a new OPP-type monomaterial film called DP065. As we have already indicated, this film is highly gas-tight and at the same time meets all international safety standards for packaging materials. With high temperature resistance, it is excellent for further processing such as printing and lamination. In addition, DP065 does not contain chlorine, which makes it safer to recycle or incinerate.

The company expects to provide its customers with a test sample of the new film in mid-March. And at the end of April it is planned to launch it into mass production.

The new film will fit perfectly with existing packaging machines, guaranteeing greener packing without the cost of upgrading equipment.
