Quite often we have to send something in a box by mail and additionally pack this box in a box so that the original one is not damaged. And on the one hand, such a matryoshka seems like unnecessary packaging, and often with emptiness inside, but on the other hand, you can’t do without it, because the original box of the product may be damaged, and this in turn may even serve as a reason for return.
In this case, we often remember the convenient paper envelopes with protective film inside and regret that our box does not fit into such an envelope. But the idea, as they say, was in the air and finally got a real implementation in life.
Abriso Jiffy and BridgeInsight have introduced the Jiffy FlexiBag, a new paper-based e-commerce and mailing solution that adapts to the size of the product being shipped. The bottom of the bag is a sealed insert that stretches to accommodate the box and fit tightly around it. The package also includes a honeycomb pad to protect the product during transport. This means that in many cases it will be possible to do away with a second, bulky box and ship the product in a cost-effective, recyclable paper bag that is strong enough to protect the product from being dropped.
