We are well aware that the most intriguing thing in the title of this news is the word "reusable". This is both true and not quite true. But at the same time, we are not deceiving you in any way.
We are talking about the development of Grupo Lantero, which is called ReKeepEat. This is a container designed for packaging various products in a vacuum or modified atmosphere. Both the container and its cover are made entirely of mono-material (PET), which significantly facilitates their further recycling. In addition, it is equipped with advanced resealing technology, which allows the packaging to be opened and closed without losing functionality.
Yes, we also do not quite understand how it is possible to open, for example, a vacuum package and fully preserve its functionality, but the manufacturer claims exactly this. In fact, despite all our skepticism, the ability to re-close such a package is already very, very good. At the very least, this can really have a positive effect on the shelf life of the product and makes this storage much more convenient. After all, now the product does not need to be transferred to another container after opening the package. This, in fact, is the reusability of the new container.
It remains to add that this development has already received a couple of serious awards at international competitions and has become a finalist of the Sustainability Awards 2025. More detailed information about this packaging can be found on the manufacturer's website (grupolantero.com). There is also a presentation video there, showing in detail the advantages of the new development.
