JOHNSON'S Baby has introduced new eco-friendly packaging for several of its products - plastic lid carton packs to replace traditional plastic bottles. These packs are the so-called "reserves" for replenishing the JOHNSON'S Baby products already purchased by the consumer in plastic.
Packs are produced with a capacity of 1 liter, which will allow you to fill the bottle available after the previous purchase of the product at least twice. In addition, the price of packs will be more profitable for buyers compared to goods in plastic. According to preliminary calculations, every 11,000 cardboard packs sold will save the company about a ton of plastic.
In fairness, it should be noted that only 76% of the material of the pack is the paper component. The remaining 24% are plastics, which had to be used to protect the formula inside and preserve the structure of the package. Despite the use of a small amount of plastics, JOHNSON'S Baby claims that the pack is fully recyclable with standard cardboard recycling technologies.
The eco-pack design includes step-by-step graphic instructions that explain how to refill an existing plastic bottle, as well as a QR code that consumers can scan for video instructions on the subject and information on how to recycle the empty box.
Now these packs have already gone on sale in the UK, and before the end of the year the company plans to enter the markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa with them.
