We have already written about paper developments by Mondi more than once. This time they also pleased us with something interesting. In cooperation with Proquimia, they released dishwasher capsules packed in a paper bag.

To be fair, it should be noted that the bag is claimed to be more than 85% paper. Interestingly, this ratio also applies to the zip fastener on the bag. This percentage of paper allows these bags to be recycled in the paper stream after use.

The bags are produced directly in Mondi's factories using Mondi Re/Cycle functional paper. First, the paper itself is made from cellulose fibres, then barrier coatings are applied to it, and finally it is printed, cut, sealed and turned into a bag.

We think it should be clarified that this development did not appear out of thin air. Back in 2022, Mondi created a paper bag for such capsules for the company Reckitt. At that time, however, they managed to create a bag consisting of 75% paper.
