One of the leaders in the packaging paper market, Sappi, presented three of its latest developments, each of which can successfully displace plastic films in its field. Now we will tell you more about them.

Guard ICC is a barrier paper for ice cream cone packaging. According to the manufacturer, it is the only one of its kind on the market. It is designed to provide double-sided protection and dimensional stability. It is suitable for direct contact with food products. It provides protection from water vapor and fat on both sides. At the same time, it has a bleached glazed surface, which is excellent for flexographic printing and which is well glued. And, of course, it can be recycled with other paper waste.

Guard Twist Gloss – designed specifically for confectionery, including sugar-coated products, and chocolate. The paper has a one-sided barrier coating to protect the product and high tensile strength, making it suitable for twisting. This paper is an environmentally friendly alternative to wax paper, which is not recyclable.

Guard OHS is a universal barrier paper designed to create various types of flexible packaging, such as flow packs, sachets, pillows, etc. It perfectly protects goods from water vapor, oxygen, and is resistant to odors and grease. The paper is available in different density and printed side options and is suitable for packaging both food and non-food products.

The company intends to present all three new products at the FACHPACK 2024 exhibition in Nuremberg, which will be held from September 24 to 26 this year.
