Frozen food is another product area that requires specific materials for their packing. It is no secret that films for packing such goods must retain their barrier properties at low temperatures, comply with all standards for food packing and not lose their appearance in refrigerators.

According to joint efforts in developing the most sustainable packing, ProAmpac has released and patented a new recyclable film specifically for frozen food - ProActive Recyclable R-2000F. It is a polyethylene laminated structure designed to be used on existing frozen food packaging equipment.

The preservation of all the properties necessary for packing and the ability to create an attractive design with a compulsory condition for the recyclability of the film - these are the tasks facing the developers. And they coped with them perfectly.

“ProAmpac is committed to providing our customers sustainable alternatives to their current products that do not sacrifice manufacturing or end-use performance. Our material scientists have designed a product that is unique to frozen- food packaging, that runs at-rate, and is recyclable,” said Adam Grose, chief commercial officer for ProAmpac.
