More and more different options for packaging materials that are maximally recyclable are appearing on the EU packaging market. Undoubtedly, this is primarily due to the tightening of legislative standards and the development of the Regulation on Packaging and Packaging Waste, the rules of which have already sparked a lot of controversy.
Just recently, Südpack presented its new packaging films. Their peculiarity is that the film is made of monomaterial (polypropylene) and has very good heat-resistant properties, which makes it possible to pack a hot product and pasteurize it. First of all, this film is aimed at creating doy-pack bags and packaging liquid or paste-like goods such as fruit puree. In combination with the spout of the bag, which the company also proposes to make from polypropylene, the result is a completely recyclable package.
Bags from this film can be produced on standard packaging machines. In addition, the company offers its high-performance machine for the production of bags from it. It is possible to add additional barrier properties needed for your product to the film, for example from ultraviolet radiation, oxygen or water vapor.
Südpack is positioning its complete solution, consisting of recyclable polypropylene film, spouts and a packaging machine, as a “strong alternative” to traditional materials in terms of both sustainability and performance.
