Lecta last week introduced a new addition to its Metalvac paper flexible packaging line - Metalvac Seal Oxygen Barrier. This is a heat-sealable metallized barrier paper designed for packaging food and non-food products in sachets, doypacks, flowpacks, etc.

The paper has high protective properties in relation to light, steam, oxygen, moisture and fats. The outer, paper side is excellent for offset or flexographic printing, and the inner metallized side has good heat sealability. Due to the very thin aluminum layer (only 0.08 g / m²), Metalvac Seal Oxygen Barrier is considered to be metallized paper and can be recycled in the general paper flow, while maintaining very high barrier properties.

The material was created as an environmentally friendly alternative to existing solutions made of plastic, foil and laminate. It can be used for packaging coffee, tea, spices, sweets and chocolate, confectionery, etc. The paper is available in 83 and 93 g/m². It can be used on existing vertical or horizontal packaging equipment without additional modifications to the latter.

Materials from the site lecta.com were used.
