Probably every mother in the world has faced this problem: how to protect a curious baby from a sample of washing powders, gels, and various cleaning products. And the issue of greening packaging, which many manufacturers, including household chemicals, have now begun to strive for, did not solve this problem in any way. The first and rather significant step in this direction was taken by Smurfit Kappa.
As one of the largest manufacturers of cellulose-based packaging solutions, the company unveiled a Click-to-Lock box for washing gel capsules made entirely of paper with a childproof lock. The box is made for McBride, one of the leading European manufacturers of cleaning products. It is an eco-friendly and 100% recyclable alternative to the usual plastic containers in which gel capsules are packed.
The problem of protecting capsules from moisture is solved thanks to a special varnish coating inside the box. At the same time, the box for the McBride was made even more spacious than its previous plastic version. The Click-to-Lock box has received Superior Child Safety Closure (SCIC) certification under the International Association of Soaps, Detergents and Care Products (AISE) test report for superior childproof closures.
At the moment, such a box is available to order on the Smurfit Kappa website in 7 colors and different sizes.
