Morrama has developed an interesting eco-friendly packaging solution for shower gels for the British body care startup Wild. This is a stylish reusable case that holds a refill with gel.

The reusable case is made of aluminium. Added to it is a 50% recycled plastic pump. Of much greater interest is a disposable block of shower gel placed in a case. This container is 70% bamboo starch with naturally waterproof properties, with the remaining 30% plant starch from farm waste added to enhance structural integrity. After the shower gel is over, this bamboo bottle can be safely thrown into the general trash can or on the compost heap. According to Morrama, this bottle will decompose faster than a banana peel.

The aluminum case protects the refill from the damaging effects of bathroom moisture. However, the manufacturer still mentions that the compostable bottle is short-lived and with longer storage of the gel, there is a need to pour it into a reusable vessel. However, Wild is taking the risks associated with storage and is planning to release several fragrances of its natural shower gel in this package.
