Prehistory.
An enterprise from Kiev, specializing in the production of laboratory products for medical purposes, had a need to automatically pack Petri dishes of 20 pieces in one bag. Manual packaging had a number of significant drawbacks. These are low packaging productivity, high packaging costs and the impossibility to create a completely uniform neat package. All this literally blocked sales growth.
The task had to be solved urgently, since the products were in demand by many laboratories. In August 2021, the client contacted us, we offered a solution and delivered, set up and put into operation the appropriate equipment in the shortest possible time.

When solving the problem, we faced the following difficulties. The standard flow-packing machine that packs products in bags of this type was designed for individual, not group packaging, and the issue of aligning the stacks relative to each other had to be addressed. In addition, the stacks of cups themselves were very unstable and fell when moved. We received samples from the client and sent them to the manufacturer's factory in China together with the technical task, in which we described in detail the client's wishes and our recommendations. As a basic packaging machine flow pack ALD-450X was used and thanks to the correct selection of the bag format and the definition of additional options, it was possible to achieve stable operation of the machine and the production of a high-quality finished bag.
