Client's Request
In the fall of 2025, a manufacturer of car floor mats approached us with the task of automating the process of packaging products in non-shrink plastic film. A unique aspect of the project was that the production process involved floor mats of various sizes and configurations, so we needed to select equipment capable of consistently handling the entire product range.
Equipment Selection and Testing
To carry out the project, we enlisted the help of our long-standing manufacturing partner in China, which specializes in the design and production of this type of packaging machine.
To ensure the client was fully confident in the result, we offered to conduct real-world testing. The client provided samples of car floor mats in all sizes, after which we arranged for them to be shipped to the manufacturer’s plant. Specialists conducted a series of tests on the equipment and prepared video reports demonstrating the machine’s operation with the client’s products.
After reviewing the test results, the client confirmed that the equipment met all project requirements.
Organizing deliveries on short notice
The project approval took place in December—a time when Chinese manufacturers are actively preparing for an extended holiday break in connection with the Chinese New Year celebrations. There was a risk that production and shipment of the equipment would be delayed by more than a month.
An additional complication was that, at the time the contract was signed, the client did not have sufficient funds to make the standard advance payment.
Recognizing the importance of the project’s launch timeline, we developed customized payment terms that allowed us to promptly begin production on the order. As a result, the equipment was manufactured and shipped before the start of the holiday break at the manufacturing plant, thereby avoiding a significant delivery delay.
Delivery and Commissioning
Upon the equipment’s arrival, our engineers performed commissioning work directly at the customer’s facility, configured the machine for the specific product, and trained the staff.
The equipment was successfully commissioned and began operating normally.
Result
• A solution was selected that fully meets the client’s requirements.
• Preliminary testing was conducted on actual products.
• Delivery delays related to the Chinese New Year were avoided.
• Customized project financing terms were implemented.
• Commissioning work was completed, and the equipment was put into operation at the client’s production facility.
• The client received a turnkey solution for automating the packaging of automotive floor mats.
