A bucket of beer
A celebration for all beer lovers. Finally, you can drink it by the bucketful! Granted, for now only in the US, but this is just the beginning.
In fairness, we should note that this bucket serves as a replacement for the traditional cardboard packaging used for 24-can packs, rather than being a vessel actually filled with nearly 19 liters of beer—which is the bucket's actual capacity. Instead, the beer cans are simply stacked inside. And, it must be said, this turned out to be an excellent idea.
Let's start with the fact that this plastic bucket is the last thing you expect to see on the shelves of a grocery supermarket, and it definitely attracts attention. Like a standard cardboard box, it is recyclable, but it can also be reused around the house. It's also easy to fill with ice, making it a great beer cooler.
So far, this unusual packaging has been spotted in only a few US states, but at least three beer manufacturers have already adopted it. We consider this a very clever marketing move. We hope these buckets will make their way to Europe as well.
