Packaging or souvenir?

The more we follow packaging developments, the more we see how the perception of packaging itself and its functions is changing. It's no longer just a protective shell for a product. It's also a carrier of product information and a marketing platform. Consumers are increasingly concerned that packaging is convenient and eco-friendly, not just about preserving the product.

In light of these trends, the emergence of packaging that becomes a souvenir is no longer surprising. We're talking about chocolate boxes designed by the Portuguese company Dulicy and made of natural cork. The boxes come in a variety of designs featuring Portuguese landmarks and national symbols. You'll find caravels, fado musicians, the famous blue tile, the Barcelos rooster, and much more. Each cork box comes with a removable magnet or postcard.

The company also emphasizes that cork is a renewable, reusable, recyclable, and biodegradable packaging material. It is reported that cork oak bark can be harvested without damaging or cutting down the tree.

This souvenir chocolate is now available for purchase in duty-free shops at Lisbon and Porto airports, in select stores and cafes in Portuguese cities, and on the Dulicy website.

Materials from the website dulicy.com were used.
