Three-seam "pillow" and "gasset" bags.

A variety of products are packed in three-seam "pillow" and "gusset" bags : meat products (smoked meats, semi-finished products, meat cuts, ham, etc.); fish products (frozen, salted, smoked) and seafood (shrimp, scallops, mussels); snacks: fish and meat, chips, crackers, nuts, seeds; spices, seasonings, herbs, breakfast cereals, semi-finished products (dumplings, frozen vegetables)

Packages of the "pillow" and "gusset" type are a flat bag sealed on three sides. Its advantages include the low weight of the package, the relatively low price, the practical absence of waste during production, there is enough space for picture and information, and little space for disposal.

Depending on the task facing the manufacturer of the product, bags can be made from single-layer films, such as polypropylene or polyethylene, or from multilayer films.

Packages may have some peculiarities that you need to know when choosing equipment for packing. If the bag is made from a single-layer film, and it is welded from one side to the other side, then the bag is made with overlapping welding. When making a bag from multilayer films, the inner layer can only be welded to itself, i.e. not welded to the outside film. In this case, the bag is made with a scallop, or as different manufacturers call it, with a fin or with a "euro-collar".
